Henry Cavill is a twenty-seven year old actor hailing from the British Channel Islands. He attended the Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, where he caught the attention of casting directors for 2002′s The Count of Monte Cristo. His portrayal of Albert Mondego in that film led to many future projects including appearances on the well known television series, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and a supporting role in the much loved film I Capture The Castle (2003).
Henry continued to make a name for himself by appearing in movies such as Red Riding Hood (2004), Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005), Stardust (2007), and Tristan + Isolde (2006). In 2007, he landed the role of Charles Brandon on the Showtime series The Tudors, a role that has greatly increased his fan base. On top of filming the TV series, Henry joined the cast of Blood Creek (2009) and Woody Allen’s Whatever Works (2009). In 2008 he became the marketing ambasador for popular men’s fragrance Dunhill London, which must have worked out well for the company, because in 2009 he was named the face of two more of their fragrances, Dunhill Black and 51.3N.
2011 was a breakout year for Henry, as it saw him in his first starring role as Theseus in Immortals. In 2012 he appeared opposite Bruce Willis and Sigorney Weaver in The Cold Light of Day.
Henry will be playing the role of Clark Kent, aka Superman, in the franchise’s newest film- Man of Steel, slated to come out in May of 2013. He has also signed on to star in The Great Wall (2014).
